Mercedes-Benz has provided updated information on its goals for electrification at the annual fiscal statement.

The firm also intends to standardise batteries across all of its EV models

They have three dedicated EV platforms and roughly 50% of EV vehicles in their lineup.

Future Mercedes-Benz vehicles will share a single battery architecture with more than 90% of them.

The German automaker wants to implement a modular battery system across its whole portfolio

vehicles that consists of components with standardised designs and common interfaces.

Mercedes claims that cell chemistry and size are the only two distinguishing qualities that will provide

batteries the essential variation in terms of range, charging, and life performance.
