As demand for zero emission cars picks up steam in India, Mercedes-Benz India

the nation's largest luxury automaker, plans to grow its EV line to eight models within a year.

The manufacturer of the EQS sedan intends to increase its portfolio by introducing four additional models

the following eight to twelve months as its EV sales are almost at 1,000 units yearly.

The EQS 580 is produced in India, whereas the firm currently imports the EQB, EQC, and EQS 53 AMG. 

The waiting period for all models is three to six months.
