Priced at Rs 3.30 crore (ex-showroom), the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance has been introduced in India

Prior to its release, we got the opportunity to examine the vehicle closely and learn more about what makes it tick.

A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 640 horsepower gives the GT 63 S E Performance its AMG power.

This is more than enough to produce F1 safety car-like velocity and accuracy.

However, the E in the name refers to an electric motor that is positioned on the back axle and generates an additional 204 hp.

It can go 12 kilometres on pure electricity and reach a peak speed of 130 kilometres per hour.

Realistically, the only major rival to this car is the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid which is priced at Rs 3.30 crore

However, we can expect future models from Maserati and Jaguar.
