Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the sixth-generation E-Class sedan, which will go on sale globally

The new E-Class is Mercedes' final dedicated internal combustion engine vehicle before going all-electric

The new sedan is also bigger than the previous model, with a more spacious interior.

A redesigned variety of drivetrains is also available, including revamped petrol-electric plug-in hybrid

systems in select countries with a higher electric range of up to 115km (WLTP) owing to a bigger battery.

The new E-Class will initially be available with a selection of four- and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines,

 which are standardly paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and provide power ranging from 196hp to 375hp.

All petrol and diesel engines feature 48-volt mild-hybrid properties, with a gearbox-mounted
